Rich and diverse natural habitats
Grassland, plateau, cliff, deep gorge, pine, cedar or oak forest, garrigue, alluvial plain… The Luberon displays a mosaic of natural habitats. This region is home to an exceptional biodiversity: 1,800 species of plants including 70 endangered species, 135 species of birds, 2,300 species of butterflies. The Luberon Park has indexed, mapped and protected its natural heritage for more than forty years.
