Preserving biodiversity and natural resources
The Park Charter (2009-2021) set down the park’s environmental objectives. The Park’s mission is to protect and manage the natural, cultural and landscape heritage.
As regards nature conservation, the park plays an active role in preserving its remarkable biodiversity, promoting a sustainable use of its natural resources, and raising public awareness of its natural heritage.
Action by the Regional Nature Park of Luberon embraces a broad range of initiatives:
> protect and manage natural resources
> implement a territorial forest charter
> improve scientific and naturalistic knowledge
> help residents and visitors to protect natural habitats
> strengthen the protection of threatened species and habitats
> act in partnership with hunters and fishermen
> contribute to the Natura 2000 network
