OUR TERRITORY<\/strong>
\nAt the crossroad of the Alps and the Mediterranean Sea<\/p><\/h1><\/div>

Nestled in the Provence-Alpes-C\u00f4te d’Azur region, the Luberon Regional Nature Park is a living and preserved area that covers 185,000 hectares over 77 municipalities (Vaucluse and Alpes de-Haute-Provence departments). Today the total population reaches nearly 176,500 inhabitants.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The backbone of this territory is the Luberon massif. It stretches over 75 km E-W between Cavaillon and Forcalquier, and culminates at 1,125 m (Mourre N\u00e8gre). The combe of Lourmarin connects the northern part of the territory to the south; It separates the Petit Luberon to the west from the Grand Luberon to the east. The northern side of the Luberon Park includes part of the Monts de Vaucluse. The Durance river constitutes its southern geographical and administrative frontier. Located at the crossroads of Mediterranean and Alpine influences, this territory is characterized by a mosaic of reliefs, landscapes and natural habitats, reflecting its geological history, climate, and human activities.<\/strong><\/p>\n
